The Price for Moderate Thickness Plates is Kept Stable in Europe
| In last week at local time of Europe, the price for plates is kept stable at higher level, which increasing the pressure of market because of lower price with imported resources. At present, the EXW price for plates in north area of Europe is about Euro480-490/Ton and meanwhile the south area’s price is Euro460-470/Ton. The truth is, the imported price( CFR Antwerp) is about Euro400/Ton. Due to longer delivery time for import way, the mills in Europe can keep such higher price. According the data from EU Statistical Bureau, the first quarter’s imported quantity of moderate plates are 0.43 million tons, which is close to the total imported amount in 2012. Besides, the amount for Cr alloy steel’s percent is more than 3%. The spokesman from Eurofer indicates that up to now they have not received the official complaint about this matter.
