The Usage Amount of Shipbuilding Steel in Japan Has a Rising
The amount of usage for shipbuilding steel in marine industry in Japan has been kept in decreasing condition since the economic crisis of 2008. After that, recently this situation is changing as the data has a rebound. According to the report of Marine Net, from Jan- Dec in 2014, the SAJ’s  members’ purchasing amount for marine steel is about 3.37 million tons, which has a 5%’s rising on basis of year on year. And it is predicted that this data will have another 2%’s rising in 2015, which can reach about 3.43 million tons. Further, data shows the usage quantity for plates with moderate thickness is about 2.94 million tons in 2014, which is the most comparing with other parts. This analysis is based on the member enterprises’ usage condition.
