China- Domestic Strong Demand for Steels& Weak Exporting Condition to Overseas
| As we see the exporting condition for steels from China, if the exporting speed for steels is going regularly like the first half year of 2017, it can be predicted that in 2017 the total exporting quantity for steels( steel plates, steel pipes, steel sections and other relevant steel products( will be kept at 80 million tons, which will have a reduction about 20% comparing with the exporting quantity in 2016. Although the quantity for exporting quantity is down, the total exporting value is in rising status, in the first half year of 2017 the total value of exporting steels is about 27.9 billion Us dollars, which has a rising by 5.9% comparing with same period in 2016. It means, price for steels is in rising status while the exporting quantity is reducing. Now the main reasons for obvious reduction for steels’ export are cutting excessive industrial capacity and increased domestic demand. Since the beginning of 2017 Chinese government have taken strict policy and efficient actions to cut the excessive industrial capacity, crude steels’s capacity has been cutted 42.4 million tons in the first five months and Chinese government have finished 85% of 2017’s plan(50 million tons). Besides, since the first half year the domestic demand for steels is in a hike rising, with that the higher price and lower cost for raw material have taken more steels to domestic market from export.
