 Introduction:

TJC Steel Group is proud to introduce the A514GrH/A514 Grade H high-strength alloy steel plate, a premium material specifically designed for applications requiring exceptional strength, toughness, and weldability. Fabricated under strict ASTM A514/A514M-2014 standards, this steel plate undergoes rigorous quenching and tempering heat treatments to achieve unparalleled mechanical properties.

Chemical Composition:

The A514GrH/A514 Grade H alloy steel plate boasts a carefully balanced chemical composition that contributes to its superior performance. The key elements include:

- Carbon (C): 0.12% - 0.21%

- Silicon (Si): ≤ 0.35%

- Manganese (Mn): 0.95% - 1.30%

- Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.025%

- Sulfur (S): ≤ 0.005%

Additionally, trace amounts of chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and copper are added to enhance the steel's strength and toughness.

Mechanical Properties:

The A514GrH/A514 Grade H plate exhibits remarkable mechanical properties, making it an ideal choice for high-stress applications:

- Yield Strength: 690 MPa to 830 MPa

- Tensile Strength: 965 MPa to 1100 MPa

- Hardness: 235-293 HBW

Heat Treatment Status:

The A514GrH/A514 Grade H steel plate is delivered in a quenched and tempered (Q&T) condition. This heat treatment process involves rapidly cooling the steel from the austenitic phase to induce martensitic transformation, followed by a tempering step to relieve internal stresses and improve toughness. The typical heat treatment involves heating the plate to a minimum of 900°C (1650°F), quenching in water or oil, and then tempering at a temperature not less than 620°C (1150°F).
